Educational Field Trip to NISSAN plant, Thailand
Newton Business School Students
On Thursday 2nd May 2024, Newton Business School Year 12 (BTEC Business Higher National Certificate) students embarked on a fascinating Field Trip to the NISSAN plant in Samut Prakan, Thailand.
This is part of our commitment at Newton Business School to allowing students to gain crucial real-world experience from industry. It is a key factor in the development of students to allow them to combine what they have learnt in class with a business in action.
Preparing students in Business Competencies class
During this month of May 2024, we have been following an Automotive theme in Business Competencies class. Discussions amongst students and supervisors were lively and focused on topics such as the regional and global trend towards the use of Electric Vehicles and also autonomous self-driving cars using AI, and the relevant implications for business leaders.
NISSAN Factory - Educational Field Trip
Led by NBS’s Business Competencies team and the NISSAN team, this field trip was a testament to our dedication to hands-on learning. From classroom discussions to witnessing industry processes firsthand, students left with a newfound appreciation for the automotive sector and its business dynamics. Here’s to fostering practical experiences that enrich our students’ education!
There were many synergies between Newton Business School’s taught units and what students observed at NISSAN – for example Business and the Business Environment, Marketing Processes and Planning and Human Resource Management.
I keenly look forward to our next Newton Business School Field Trip!
